Professor Andy Whiteley, Director CSC Ltd
Professor Andy Whiteley is a Winthrop Professor within the Faculty of Science, UWA School of Agriculture and Environment. He is also the program director for the UWA Master of Biotechnology. He is a graduate of S'ton University.
Andy's research has focused on soil microbiomes and the application of microbiology to mine site rehabilitation, sustainable food production and cellular analysis for biomedical, environmental, marine and related systems biology. He has led applied research projects for such organisations as the King's Park and Botanical Gardens, Telethon Kids Institute, Department of Agriculture and Food WA, Australian Mineral Fertilisers Pty Ltd, WA Office of Science and the Australian Research Council.
Andy has published over 75 peer reviewed research papers in leading academic journals such as Frontiers in Plan Science, the European Journal of Soil Biology, Microbial Ecology, Bioresource Technology and Biogeosciences. His research has received more than 3,926 citations since 1993.
