Greg is an active member of the technology innovation, emerging entrepreneurial business and early stage investor communities in Western Australia. He has extensive experience in corporates, SMEs and start-ups, which has honed a unique set of skills that recognises where enabling technologies combined with highly scalable business models can result in fundable high-performance operating businesses.
Greg is a co-founder arguably the 1st tech-incubator in Perth (Entrepreneurs in Residence (EiR)), which invested in IT Start-ups on behalf of Federal Governments’ BITS Program. EiR assessed over 450 venture opportunities, invested in 30 startups, achieved co-investment of over $30m of private investment capital and almost $4m in government subsidies in addition to the $15m sourced from the Federal Government’s BITS program.
Presently, Greg works with SMEs and Mid-Tier businesses to get scale, create and capture value and position themselves to harvest returns. A current focus is achieving growth through export strategies and connections into China and ASEAN countries. Greg is a co-founder of a number of tech start-ups, a Chairman or non-executive director on a number of businesses, sits on innovation advisory panels for corporates, governments and industry associations. He is a speaker, mentor and adviser, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
